USFS Visitor Monitoring. The goal of the study is to gain knowledge of available data and sampling procedures to better quantify recreation use for national forests in the Alaska region. Information gathered in this research will be used to assist in the development of an adjusted National Visitor Use Monitoring-based recreation visitor sampling approach for national forests in Region 10.
