Jack Kruse was ISER's director from 1994 to 1997 and before that he was on the ISER faculty for nearly 20 years. He designed many major ISER surveys and analyzed the data collected for a wide range of research studies. Today he still works closely with ISER on a variety of projects.
Current Funded Research
Arctic Observation Network Social Indicators Project.
The long-range goal of this project is to understand how socioeconomic systems respond to rapid environmental change and how local response interacts with broad forces of development and government policies to affect the well-being of Arctic residents.
